krypton was a polytheistic society. in our mythology, rao the father created other gods with their own domains. two of which were the nightwing, god of justice and the shadows, and the flamebird, goddess of destruction and rebirth. there were a number of kryptonian heroes who named themselves after them, but the last two were special
thara ak-var and chris. my sister in everything but blood and her lover. they were actually joined with the gods and could manifest their powers and personalities. they're gone, now. thara died saving the sun and chris is trapped forever in a place called the phantom zone
