it's chaotic. any patterns people talk about are just the natural habit of a creature looking to apply meaning to something. the only real pattern is the chaos.
the only real trend is the events and memory erasing. it's entirely possible that none of this is real at all. maybe nobody ever goes home.
it's the idea that since we can't disprove it, our entire reality could just be a simulation. there's no real way to tell we're not all brains in jars. or i guess mainframes in jars, maybe, haha
